On the cover of GA 36, Matt Gondek and his "nuclear family" tells us a nativity in "hollow" for these holidays of end of 2017. Our new file addresses the question of the appropriation of the Pop which sees more and more of artists invite Mickey or the Superheroes as guest stars of their works. Calmer and meditative are the urban landscapes of Stéphanie Buer or the soothing paintings of Philippe Hérard. From pop, it is still question with a first interview of background with Hebru Brantley, the kid of Chicago gone to the conquest of the world thanks to its hero adolescent and aviator. We also take news from Brusk whose new incursions into volume intrigue us and delight us. Another reason for wonder is Ben Tolman's obsessive drawings of details seized just as his first solo show in Paris begins. We also made our way to Zürich, to meet Julien Kolly, the city's leading gallery owner and also a staunch defender of graffiti and abstraction. A little further south, but still in Switzerland, Saype amazes us with its giant frescoes painted on the mountain pastures. The media are invested in all their forms by the artists of the movement as revealed by our meetings with Lenz, who made the Lego brick his means of expression of the moment. Our journey ends in Portugal with Add Fuel, which produces giant ceramic-based urban works, organizing a captivating dialogue between the past and the present. A number that questions a troubling period and reveals rather exhilarating changes.
