Here’s a new summer issue that showcases murals of all kinds, like 2KM3 in Saint-Gervais, as well as the diversity of the international scene. With a dossier devoted to the childlike medium of chalk, we discover beauty in simplicity, but also its wide-ranging possibilities. We also take a look at MaCO, the city of Sète’s open-air museum, on the occasion of the tenth edition of the K-Live festival, celebrating over thirty human-scale creations in the city.

The cover of this summer issue features a sublime work of art by American artist Audrey Kawasaki, with its mix of character and seduction. This fighting spirit is reflected in the interview with WK Interact, a French expatriate living in the United States, who talks openly about his personal and professional career and situates his major work in the history of street art. In other, less urban spheres, Hawaii’s Hula pays homage to the biosphere, setting his work in natural landscapes of unparalleled beauty. In a different register, contemporary artist Charles Pétillon engages in a hypnotic dialogue with the viewer in immersive installations made of white balloons. Californian Andrew Schoultz ‘s Asian and medieval inspirations take us on a journey into an aesthetic universe rich in symbols, while we lose ourselves in the graphic richness of Nantes artist Pez‘s drawings and paintings, with a smile on our faces. Finally, we enter the studio of Spanish artist Belin as if we were in the home of a classic 20th-century painter, elevating the portrait genre to its rightful place. Finally, as in every issue, you can discover our selection of books, limited editions, exhibitions and fairs not to be missed between July and September, as well as our selection of emerging artists such as Johannes Mundiger, Justin Lovato, Strook, Linus Lundin, Mattia Lullini and Anne-Laure Maison.
