Urban Contemporary Art Guide 2014

Every year, The Urban Contemporary Art Guide takes stock of what’s going on in the urban contemporary art market by focusing on a selection of working artists who make the movement what it is. Year on year, the list of artists changes based on their current work and thus broadens the reader’s horizons.

After the great success of the first four editions in 2012 and 2013, The Urban Contemporary Art Guide 2014 still has an educational role. The three publications profile a total of 165 artists. It is a veritable learning tool for knowledgeable amateurs (collectors) and professionals (artists, gallery owners, art dealers, auctioneers, curators, etc.) who see it as their annual assessment of the state of the market. Students and newly-converted readers also use it to satisfy their intellectual curiosity.

This work provides a deeper understanding of the international urban contemporary art scene which we have been observing and analysing from the Graffiti Art editorial board since its foundation in 2008 and over 20 years of previous personal and professional experience.
